![]() ![]() So, anyone thinking they can jump into this without watching previous stuff will be disappointed.ĥ) Character interactions are enjoyable when they aren't info dumps.Ħ) Diablo has an actual fight scene. ![]() Watch for fight scenes, not story.Ĥ) References to other events were funny to those who know the series. TL DR - Beautiful graphics ruined by rushed and flawed story. ![]() But since it's a non-canonical movie, I know they can't do any actual character building. So much could have been done if there had been more time. However, by the half hour mark, things were clearly advancing far too quickly and there wasn't any villainous buildup. The set up in the beginning was quite intriguing and the obvious showdown between the new Kijin and Geld was something to anticipate. I have to say that the movie is wasted potential. Just got back from watching this at the local cinema. Lets not talk about it.Īlmost all the characters from season 2 have a bout so overall it's something you won't wanna miss out, but don't expect a masterpiece! :p It was pretty cool having fights taking place in a castle that closely resembles the one in Laputa making the experience a bit better. Wished they trimmed it down a bit.Īnimation was one of the strong(?) points of the film, but not ground-breaking. 'Show not tell' was non-existent - it was like taking an exam with the amount of dialogue I was spoon-fed. Sure it's non-canon, but it would've been amazing if they covered Benimaru and his tribe's history or their adventures, similar to One Piece Film Red. It was very frustrating being shown boring world building of some npc town rather than exploring my kijin waifu's past. MID (I promise I tried.)Įven though the story was centered around the most interesting characters of the show, the ogres, the film barely touched upon their background. ![]()
